Nathan C – Gods Love
Jersey may not be the safest bet for dutiful House cuts, but since racking up sizeable offerings for Maquina Music and Doorn Recordings on his studio exploits, geography certainly hasn’t hindered Nathan C enroute to his impressive industrious explosion.
Having set the record straight with formative vocal anthem ‘Follow’ alongside familiar House asset Kash, the British middle-weight returns to Mark Knight’s prestigious Toolroom Records imprint to drive a whole new level of enigmatic club fuel towards the intrepid label’s sophisticated stylings. Right in time for volume two of their annual Ibiza compilation series, ‘Gods Love’ presents a more heavyset approach to that ultimately sun kissed season that Toolroom have proven masters of the soundtrack to.
Far Techier than the vast majority of Nathan’s previous triumphs, the deep leads and heavy melodic stabs that circle the tracks infectious sample work are a unison as complimentary as that of the chain to the wheel. Distinguishing his take on the oversubscribed sub-genre with vivacious energy and a stern underground attitude throughout, big beats and consistent turns win Nathan C yet another A-list banger to add to his sturdy arsenal of club offerings.
‘Gods Love’ is out May 28 on Toolroom Records via Beatport.
