Nathan C – Follow
Nathan C was evidently sick of being the best kept secret of Britain’s stern Progressive House movement. Having raised his profile with a host of positive musical movements for Funk Farm and Spinnin Records, 2012 beckoned some affirmative movement from the Jersey based producer who had previously lacked only that one special push forward of unforgettable floor fuel.
But already scaling the globe for 2012, his step up to the mark is one of overt substance. Calling upon the overtly familiar vocal assets of Kash for his return to the Progressive House limelight, Nathan C steals the spotlight alongside rising UK imprint Maquina Music with a significantly mature production from the rising British contender. Where his melodic canvas of abrupt synths and ambient progressions are enough to highlight the increasing skill of his studi dexterity, ‘Follow’ boasts a stern climax of steadfast energy that few contenders of his caliber have mustered over the past year.
Hailed by Tiesto on his Club Life radio show, the succinct layers of deep Progressive chord progressions and intense lead play that guide Kash’s impressive top line collide to forge Nathan C’s latest endeavour as one of the more impressive British offerings for a long time.
‘Follow’ is out now on Maquina Music via Beatport.
