Lazy Rich – The Chase

With Electro House taking something of a turn to the predictable amongst its universal acquisitions, cutting to the chase has become considerably hard within the genre. But setting a stunning example with exemplary force and unprecedented stamina, Canadian studio monger and surprisingly active floor filler Lazy Rich returns with The Chase for assorted Electronic arsenal of Never Say Die Records

Where Rich’s formula may not be game changing, in the face of mindless repetitions and shameless crossovers there is something resolutely refreshing in his return to the limelight for 2012. Blowing the roof with a low-end orientated romp of concise wobbles and grinding chords, stellar British songsmith Belle Humble proves the ultimate tipping asset to this unpretentious Electro House cut.

Dodgy D&B remixes aside, the original stands apart from the crowd for all the right reasons. Rife with nonchalant leads and sharp melodic turns, ‘The Chase’ adheres to the rule books of fine floor wizardry while proving somewhat refined in its accessibility. Though as aptly tailored for the club as the airwaves, Rich embraces the new year with significant stead and sets the bar to an all time high for a year that may well be overrun by his heavyset choice of genre.
