History has a knack of repeating itself where Electronic music is concerned. In a more than worthy revisit of his own deep Techno roots Hungarian Tech protagonist Jay Lumen returns to Toolroom Records to take on the history books of Detroit House music with a remix of Kevin Saunderson’s ‘The Sound’.
In a fierce display of exotic percussive grooves and upfront Techno beats, Lumen revisits the 1987 classic with a firm focus on the modern edge of underground club music. As authentically cut to the stamina of the summer clubbing season as it is a testament to the progress of both Lumen and Saunderson’s craft, ‘The Sound’ may have changed considerably, but the quality of the genre remains uninterrupted with Lumen at the helm.
‘The Sound’ is out now on Toolroom Records via Beatport.
