Ferreck Dawn & Redondo – Kaduna

Dutch master of the multilingual groove Ferreck Dawn has already conjured himself something of a reputation for stealing the show with his sunkissed House stylings. Returning to Toolroom Records alongside hometown collective Redondo, ‘Kaduna’ shapes the ultimately satisfying transition from winters dulcet vibes to the summers ever-inviting warmth.

In a resounding bid to extend Toolroom’s reign over the unassuming poolside banger, this sleek and seductive array of ethnic leads and hypnotic vocal play makes for an ultimately rewarding step-back from the Progressive play to which the label have proven equally apt at pushing.

Pitting the Tech induced grooves of these crucial Dutch compadres against a rich and stimulating backdrop of well-groomed melodic stylings, this may be the first essential reminder that outside of Miami Music Week’s somewhat slow aftermath, the Ibizan heat, early-hours clubbing and ultimately indulgent soundtracks of summer are just around the corner. Hold on to this gem and the wait is sure to breeze past.
