Deniz Koyu – Bong
From his impressive breakthrough efforts under the watchful gaze of Fedde Le Grand through to his present global upheaval, Germany’s Deniz Koyu has excelled all expectations with profound and melodic aptitude. But still gleaming from his impressive collaorative efforts alongside the Flamingo Records head honcho and Johan Wedel ‘Turn It’, the MTV approved newcomer embraces Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records imprint with perky peak-timer ‘Bong’.
On the back of his more melodically refined bangers, ‘Bong’ relishes in being an ‘outside-of-the-box’ take on a somewhat oversubscribed sound. Stemming an array of essentially European horns to his often tense Progressive stylings, Koyu’s new and untamed flare for all-inclusive club cuts marks a profoundly dynamic outing without the cringeworthy mainstream hallmarks that too often come with such accessible studio endeavours.
Timed perfectly for the unfolding summer hysteria, ‘Bong’ is not only a stunning character reference to the extensive support collected by this impressive European protagonist, but a firm reminder that eccentric House anthems need not be all grind and autotune in the age of universal EDM ascendancy.
‘Bong’ is out now on Refune Records via Beatport.
